Letterman: Footage of special effects in Avatar is a station wagon in space shooting lazers at a monkey in a space suit. Dave tells a story about a staff member at an old holiday party. Tobey Maguire talks about his kids and his new movie. Comic Tom Dreesen tells old stories. Alicia Keys performs.

Conan: Gov. Arnold talks about the coast and they show old footage of Arnold flexing his muscles on a coast. Video of a criminal eating evidence off a cop car’s roof. Then it is edited with him eating money, an iPhone and a gun. The velcro tree is outside and launched into a pile of ornaments. Conan apologizes for the bad acts he did during the show’s holiday party, including playing a drunken voicemail he left. Nigel Marven brings out animals including some type of turtle that bites Conan’s finger. Sam Worthington talks about Avatar. Foreigner performs.

Fallon: Another Christmas sweater is given out. Jimmy’s weekly thank you notes. Jude Law talks about Sherlock Holmes. Then Jimmy and Jude act out fake Sherlock Holmes scenes. Abby Elliot does some impressions and talks about liking Jimmy when she was young. Tech expert Joshua Topolsky shows off the Nook e-book reader, a small tablet pc and the thinnest laptop. Ronnie Spector performs.

Ferguson: Avatar trailer turns into guys colored blue dancing around. Judi Dench talks and Craig wants to end the interview awkwardly with her. Michelle Rodriguez talks with Craig about plane flying and other manly or extreme sports.
