Monday March 1st Late Night Talk Show Recap

Daily Show: More health care talk and arguments over unemployment in senate. An anchor on CNN says crazy things while talking about the earthquake in Chile and the tsunami threat in Hawaii. Astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson.


Leno: My first and last recap of Jay’s return to the Tonight Show. It begins with a comedy piece of Jay waking up from a dream like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and seeing Kevin Eubanks, Ross the Intern and John Melendez, who Jay says wasn’t in his dream. Betty White also stops by the window. The show has a new opening video, an updated set and the same announcer from the Jay Leno Show. Jay does a monologue and the usual comedy video pieces. Jay shows a video of him visiting people’s homes looking for a new desk including appearances by Adam Carolla and Randy Jackson. Jamie Foxx. Skier Lindsey Vonn. Brad Paisley performs.


Letterman: A guy sprays Dave with a fire extinguisher because he sarcastically says he is on fire tonight. Olympic Highlight Simulation was stick figures scoring a goal in hockey. “Is it a satellite delay?” was a long delay on a satellite feed with Sarah Palin. Dave talks about the Olympics. Top 10 signs you have winter Olympics withdrawal. The guy sprays Dave again. Bill Murray comes out in a ski jacket and crutches along with a video of his skiing accident which is some pro skier having a bad accident. A sling drops down for his leg and a web address for a doctor pops up on the screen. Bill takes off his jacket to reveal an ice skating outfit. A hockey player from Team USA and Team Canada fight backstage. Ludacris performs.


Fallon: Jimmy says it is the show’s one year anniversary and thanks the staff. Jimmy sings a techno song called Freshman 15 under blue light while showing short clips of what they’ve done in the past. A new episode of Late, the show’s Lost spoof, which had Jimmy meeting the man of faith and we see a flashback from right before Jimmy boarded the elevator. A very short Bothered with the real Robert Pattinson in the tree with Jimmy and Jimmy trying to get him to say he’s bothered. Robert Pattinson comes out to talk. Judah Friedlander talks and has a bunch of props. Mario Batali cooks with Jimmy and Judah.


Ferguson: Wavy the Crocodile brings out his cat girlfriend who is again voiced by Lauren Graham. Craig's Spanish Word of the Day. Lauren Graham. Simon Helberg.


Last Call: A new opening video. From the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood. Eli Roth. Digital animator Neville Page. Daniel Merriweather performs. A new regular segment entitled The Last Call of Last Call is a short clip of a user submitted video. Tonight's was musician Ronald Jenkies.
