Wednesday August 5th Late Night Talk Show Recap

Daily Show: Those two Asian journalists are back from Korea, but all Jon cares about is Bill Clinton doing things again. Fox News still had to put a negative spin on it thinking we had to give something up for them and it made Korea look good. Jon Oliver in a video package talking to two scientists of whom one believes now we came from orangutans and the other still says apes. Paul Giamatti is the guest.


Conan: An ad for the NBC Primetime Preview show has an exec saying “we got nothing.” The UCLA underwear run was cancelled, but La Bamba didn’t know so we a see him outside walking around in his undies. Wax Fonzie and wax Tom Cruise are shot out of the same cannons used yesterday and Fonzie’s face breaks apart. Then they run a memorial video of them and wheel them out into the studio with Fonzie’s face glued together looking like a freak. Sienna Miller talks about doing stunts and her suit on GI Joe. Then she talks about being scanned for an action figure and Conan shows off a GI Joe of himself. Steve Schrippa talks about life after Sopranos and other jokes. Comic Deon Cole does standup.


Fallon: Jimmy has a long message for Paula Abdul. The show is having an intern search and a video plays saying who and who not a good candidate would be. Jimmy and Higgins do three sitcoms all set in the same office with similar lines and with Chris Kattan showing up as a delivery man in them all. Chris Kattan talks a lot about SNL including why Jimmy laughed during the Cowbell sketch, sketches that didn’t make it to air including a whole family talking gibberish Italian and Bono calling him Jimmy. Then he talks about his new movie Bollywood Hero and his father being Tailor Smurf. Joe Scarboro talks about the news then plays guitar and sings a song. Comic Hannibal Burris does standup.


Ferguson: Craig as J.K. Rowling and Jeffrey Tambor as Stephanie Meyer do a CBS Cares ad where they say they are going to help children with their money, but then throw it all around and laugh. Wolf Blitzer. Rose Byrne talks about her new movie.
