Thursday October 1st Late Night Talk Show Recap

Daily Show: A woman on CNN first talks about how bad texting while driving is, but then talks about a CNN iPhone app and suggests that you can check traffic while you are driving. Obama goes overseas to pitch Chicago for the Olympics and news networks complain about it. John Oliver reports on the G20 protests including having expert protesters give advice and John going through the crowd hearing the tons of issues they are protesting including a guy dressed as Batman with a sign saying Christian Bale sucks. Joy Behar is the guest.

Letterman: Guy eating a skunk hot dog outside. A huge bird eats Sullenburger’s plane. Todd Palin’s book is entitled Still Sitting on My Ass. Dave talks about the issue that is in the news today about him being blackmailed by a guy who was going to release proof that Dave had sex with some members of his staff. Dave reveals that he did indeed do so and that the man has been arrested for blackmail. Top 10 things overheard at China’s anniversary celebration. Conan: Andy tells the story of a So You Think You Can Dance contestant’s vagina being flashed as if it were a romance novel. Conan visits a Barbershop Quartet competition including dressing up as one. They used the wrong state for New Hampshire so Conan blames it on La Bamba. Conan’s tabloid moment had him in front of an ugly back alley that he called Newark, with some gangsters and gambling on a cockfight between a chicken and a baby with a knife. Michael Moore talks about his new movie. Seth McFarlane talks about being on the show that Conan bumped his head, the Emmys, Family Guy merchandise and the guest voice actors the show has had. Rodrigo y Gabriela perform.

Fallon: Jimmy now shoots lazers from his eyes that freeze the screen then melts it with the flames. Two parts of the Real Housewives of Late Night had them throwing a kid birthday party in the NBC commissary. Ryan Reynolds talks about his role in the Green Lantern movie, websites that make fun of him and preparing for SNL. Then he and Jimmy play shuffleboard because last time they played Jimmy incorrectly called himself the winner. Emma Stone talks about the zombies in Zombieland. Miranda Lambert performs.
